What kind of help do I need?

It can be confusing to decide which type of professional you might want to seek out — especially when you’re facing a particular challenge. The table below will help you understand the differences between coaching, mentoring, training, consulting and therapy/counselling, so that you can decide what’s right for you.

Learn what each method offers:

Coaching is a client-led approach, which means that you as the coachee are the expert on your own life (and as the coach, I am the expert on the process of coaching).

Coaching also starts from the premise that people are creative, resourceful and whole. As your coach, I believe that…

  • You are creative: you have the ability to come up with thoughts, ideas, solutions and goals that are right for you

  • You are resourceful: you already have everything you need to do this

  • You are whole: I will not try to ‘fix’ you, for there is nothing broken

My role is to raise your awareness through deep listening, gentle challenges and insightful questions, so that you can achieve your goals. We go at your pace, exploring the obstacles and celebrating the successes along the way.
